The American Institutes for Research (AIR) is seeking a highly skilled Virtual Event Consultant to support the Famine Early Warning Systems Network (FEWS NET) Data Learning and Communications Hub (the Hub). The Virtual Event Consultant will support the planning development and execution of a monthly virtual event series focused on global food security. The ideal independent consultant has a background with FEWS NET partners and activities deep experience in virtual event production and demonstrated success managing events that engage diverse global audiences. AIR will contract directly with the Independent Consultant under a consulting purchase order agreement.
This is a remote position. The Independent Consultant must be available for coordination with a U.S.-based team and support events timed for global audiences.

Scope of work includes:
The Virtual Event Consultant will ensure high-quality development and execution of monthly virtual events. The Independent Consultant will work closely with the Communications Team to ensure consistent accessible and effective monthly events in support of the FEWS NET mission. The responsibilities for the Independent Consultant position include:
Anticipated Workload:
Up to 5 days (40 hours) per month depending on planning cycles and event frequency. Some flexibility will be required to accommodate different time zones.
