A little about us:

Head and Head Vets is an RCVS accredited mixed practice situated in the historic market town of Helston. We have been providing outstanding care to the animals of Cornwall since the 1870s weve stood the test of time and our comprehensively equipped practice has greatly expanded itself over the years and continues to thrive.

Apart from the obvious attraction of a fantastic location the role offers:

• Full-time hours - 4-day week meaning more time to enjoy your down-time
• 1:2 Saturday mornings (with TOIL to compensate)
• No OOH for a better work-life balance!

To add to the mix . there is also the opportunity for this to be a combined role working between both Head & Head Vets and nearby Regent Court Vets just along the coast in the vibrant town of Penzance. Great practices and great locations x 2!!

And an extra ingredient ..besides the usual variety that a small animal role brings there is plenty of opportunity to volunteer at the nearby Cornish Seal Sanctuary (for those with an interest in marine life) plus StreetVet.

We actively encourage further development whether that be via a healthy CPD budget or through the certificate route. We want every member of our tea m to be fulfilled in their role and pursue their interests.

We are a long-established practice serving the local community; we have brilliant clients. Head and Head boasts fantastic facilities and equipment.

They say that two heads are better than one and weve certainly found that to be the case! We are a vibrant bunch of like-minded individuals with a shared passion in caring for our people and animals.

The team at Head and Head consists of 2.5 Vets (FTE) 4 RVNs and 2 SVNs and when were not busy excelling at what we do best we enjoy many activities in our spare time from baking walkingcrafting and exploring the Cornish coast!

We are perfectly situated for all the nature lovers among you. From the beautiful seaside strolls of Porthleven Harbour and Loe Pool to the stunning sights of Bonython Estate Gardens and Halliggye Fougou the Cornish great outdoors really is something to behold!

Youll never be short of things to enjoy in your valuable downtime.

Just off the A394 our practice has easy access for commuters. There are also regular bus services to major towns and cities in Cornwall.
