***This role is a Second Shift role 3pm to 11pm Mon-Fri. Saturdays are also required until further notice***
JOB SUMMARY
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Test Engineering Technician I to support the testing troubleshooting and validation of electronic components assemblies and systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with test engineers and quality teams to ensure that products meet performance safety and compliance standards before release.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up calibrate and operate test equipment including oscilloscopes multimeters logic analyzers signal generators and automated test systems.
- Perform functional environmental and performance tests on printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) subassemblies and final products.
- Interpret engineering schematics wiring diagrams and test procedures to perform diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Document and report test results deviations and root causes of failures; assist in corrective action efforts.
- Assist in the development and validation of test fixtures jigs and automated test programs (ATE).
- Collaborate with engineering to improve product designs and manufacturability from a testability perspective.
- Maintain and ensure the accuracy and calibration of testing equipment.
- Support the transition of new products from engineering to manufacturing by validating test plans and protocols.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate degree in Electronics Technology Electrical Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience/certifications.
- 1 years of hands-on experience in electronics testing or a similar technical role.
- Proficient with test instruments and troubleshooting tools.
- Strong understanding of analog/digital circuits and embedded systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics datasheets and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail organizational skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Preferred:
- Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) or scripting (LabVIEW Python TestStand etc.).
- Familiarity with IPC standards ESD handling and industry compliance testing (e.g. FCC CE).
- Experience in an electronics manufacturing facility.
