Description of Work
This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). Note: Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position in order to work in a temporary position. All temporaries are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.
Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the job. This temporary position is located in Raleigh - Wake County.
Primary Purpose of Position:
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $31.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 1800 Umstead Dr. Raleigh NC 27603.
Facility Compliance Consultant will conduct reviews of initial and change licensure applications/documentation to ascertain compliance with applicable State Licensure Regulations prior to approving licensure. The position will also review all priority requests for licensure and ensure an expedited turnaround for immediate child placements.
The employee must apply numerous laws regulations standards and procedures which have been established by the State government. The employee spends time in the field conducting on-site initial surveys and priority licensure requests.Knowledge Skills and Abilities / Competencies

- A thorough knowledge of the States rules and regulations and the most current nationally recognized professional standards of practice applicable to all providers or suppliers of health care services within the State.
Skills in public relations techniques the ability to write clearly and concisely and to make oral presentations and the ability to establish and maintain effective communications and work relationships with various healthcare disciplines. This includes professional and non-professional personnel in the healthcare community including provider administrators/directors physicians and facility owners.
Strong background and knowledge in mental health developmental disabilities and/or substance abuse disorders.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Generalist
Bachelors degree in a health human service or educational related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years experience in surveying clinical and/or administration of a program in a related health field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Social Work
Masters degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and one year experience in surveying clinical and/or administration of a program in a related health field; or
Bachelors degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and three years experience in surveying clinical and/or administration of a program in a related health field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Dietetics
Bachelors degree in nutrition or food service management from an appropriately accredited institution and three years experience in surveying clinical and/or administration of a program in a related health field eligible for registration from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Supplemental and Contact Information
