Job Description
Position: Respiratory Care Practitioner
Location: Correctional Facility in Ione California
Pay Rate: $43.00 to $45.00 per hour
Schedule: Part-time 6 to 9-month contract (eligible for extension)
Workdays: Monday and Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Requirements
- At least 12 months of continuous direct patient care experience within the past 3 years in a public or private institution
- Current clinical competencies
- Valid government-issued photo ID (Drivers License or Passport)
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Valid California Respiratory Care Practitioner License (hard copy)
- NBRC certification

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver respiratory care services based on evidence-based clinical practices
- Set up respiratory equipment and instruct patients on proper use
- Perform complete medical evaluations during scheduled hours or upon request
- Maintain daily charting and ensure no chart is delinquent beyond ten days
- Assist in the development and revision of respiratory care policies and procedures
- Periodically assess and recommend equipment updates
- Participate in special projects such as quality improvement or utilization reviews as assigned by the CEO CME or their designee
