Job Description
Our client is looking for a Staff Nurse - Renal to join their team. You will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to dialysis patients monitoring their condition during treatment operating dialysis equipment and supporting their ongoing renal care needs with professionalism and compassion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis in accordance with established clinical protocols.
- Prepare and operate dialysis machines and related equipment.
- Assess patients conditions before during and after dialysis treatments.
- Monitor vital signs and promptly report any abnormal findings or complications.
- Administer medications and manage vascular access sites (e.g. AV fistula catheter care).
- Educate patients and caregivers on renal disease dialysis treatment dietary restrictions and medication adherence.
- Collaborate with nephrologists and the multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care and treatment progress.
- Comply with infection control and patient safety standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with the relevant nursing board (e.g. Singapore Nursing Board SNB).
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferably in a renal/dialysis setting.
- Prior experience in haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis is strongly preferred.
- Skilled in managing dialysis equipment and vascular access sites.
- Strong communication patient education and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays.
- Team player with a compassionate and patient-focused approach.
