Provides exceptional hospitality by welcoming guests managing reservations and coordinating seating assignments to ensure a smooth dining experience. Serves as the first point of contact for restaurant patrons embodying a warm and professional demeanor. Works closely with servers bartenders and kitchen staff to maintain a seamless flow of service.
REPORTS TO: Assistant General Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets members and community (non-members) upon arrival with warmth and professionalism
- Manages reservations and waitlists via phone online systems and in-person interactions ensuring accuracy and timely seating
- Coordinates seating assignments to balance guest satisfaction and staff workloads
- Communicates estimated wait times to guests and provides updates as needed
- Guides guests to their tables and ensures the dining area is clean and well-prepared
- Distributes and presents menus while informing guests of daily specials and promotions
- Assists with guest inquiries including menu recommendations special requests and event information
- Monitors dining room activity to anticipate guest needs and optimize table turnover
- Supports servers by assisting with table resets and light clean-up during busy periods
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of the host station entrance and waiting area
- Promotes membership programs events and specials to community (non-members)
- Handles guest complaints or escalates them to management for resolution
- Performs other related duties as assigned
SKILLS ABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE:

- Basic knowledge of reservation and point-of-sale systems or a willingness to learn
- Knowledge of Manifest’s operations services and menu offerings is a plus
- Ability to embody service and anticipate the needs of guests staff and management
- Ability to frequently climb stairs
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 year of customer service hospitality or restaurant experience preferred.
- Must successfully complete restaurant training programs
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequently required to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- Occasionally required to bend stoop and lift light items (up to 30 pounds)
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with moderate noise levels
