Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Wirral to assist with the appointment of a Service Support on a 1- month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 16.68- 21.65 per hour

Hours per week: 19

Summary:

Wirral MBC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Service Support Officer to provide front-line operational service delivery for vulnerable adults with learning disabilities. This is a crucial role focused on ensuring the safety well-being and statutory care of individuals in accordance with the Care Act 2014. This role requires a proactive and resilient individual who can provide direct support promote independence and contribute to the highest standards of person-centered care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct hands-on support to vulnerable adults with learning disabilities assisting with daily living activities personal care and community integration.
  • Act as a key frontline professional responsible for the immediate safeguarding of vulnerable adults. This includes identifying and reporting any concerns or risks in line with established policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team including social workers healthcare professionals and family members to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to care.
  • Implement and contribute to the development of individual care and support plans ensuring they are tailored to the specific needs preferences and goals of each person.


Essentials:

  • Proven experience providing direct support to individuals with learning disabilities mental health needs or other complex needs in a care-giving environment.
  • Relevant qualifications or a commitment to undertaking training in areas such as manual handling first aid and safeguarding are highly desirable.
  • A strong working knowledge of safeguarding procedures for vulnerable adults and a clear understanding of your role in protecting individuals from harm.

Please note:

  • You should be available to work immediatly or short notice
  • You should have right to work in UK
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
