Job Description

We have a vacancy within our Manufacturing Department and are currently recruiting for the role of Part Mark & Packing Technician. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience seeking an opportunity to develop their skills and join a growing Organisation.

Shift Pattern: 36.5 hours each week working the Late Shift; 15.00 01.00 on Mondays and 15.00 00.30 Tuesday to Thursday. You will be entitled to two breaks each day one 10-minute unpaid break and one 20-minute unpaid break.

Location: Accrofab Derby DE21 7RX

Role Accountabilities:

  • Part Mark and Packing of Sheet metal and Machined components in accordance with relevant procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand data cards and drawings to the level required for machine set up and operation.
  • Set up machines with the required settings and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.
  • Complete Part Mark and Packing operations efficiently in accordance with Job Card instructions to achieve the required output levels.


General Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all company Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Read and understand the requirements on the Job Card for the operation to be carried out.
  • Ensure that all the documentation required to carry out the operation in accordance with the Job Card is available at the point of use and at the correct revision.
  • Read and understand all manufacturing instructions prior to commencing an operation this includes Engineering Drawings Data Cards etc.
  • Use of all measuring equipment as required to check conformance to requirements.
  • Carry out in process inspection in accordance with relevant specifications to ensure that components are conforming prior to passing on to subsequent operations.
  • Ensure that components identified as non-conforming during in process inspection are identified and communicated in accordance with the Non-Conformance Procedure.
  • Complete all work booking requirements within the MRP system to ensure accurate WIP records.
  • Follow work handling and storage instructions to prevent damage to components.
  • Support Root Cause Analysis activities when non-conformance occurs to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Ensure that work areas are tidy cleaned and maintained in accordance with 5S requirements.
  • Engage and contribute to Continuous Improvement activities to maximise efficiency.
  • Comply with all company procedures and policies.
