NEPEAN Longwall is a trusted name in Australian mining. Due to sustained growth and new contract awards were expanding our workshop team and seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters to join our Mackay-based facility.
This is your opportunity to work on cutting-edge longwall equipment in a supportive high-performance environment.
What Youll Be Doing
Disassembling inspecting rebuilding and assembling mechanical components including longwall roof supports gearboxes and hydraulic equipment.
Conducting diagnostics repairs and testing of longwall systems and components.
Working closely with workshop supervisors and leading hands to meet build schedules and quality standards.
Maintaining compliance with safety protocols and workshop procedures.
What Youll Need
Australian trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent.
Proven experience in mechanical fitting preferably with exposure to longwall mining equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
