Position Summary:
TheSonographer Iis an entry-level sonographer focused primarily on developing knowledge and skills. Requires consultation with more experienced sonographers and clinicians. The Sonographer I is guided by policy and oriented by task completion when caring for patients and their families. Demonstrates and completes unit-specific Advanced Beginner Clinical Pathway. Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Eligiblefor specialty registry through ARDMS or CCI. Must have current BLS certification AHA. The ability to read write speak and understand English is required.
TheSonographer IIdemonstrates an expanding knowledge base in the management of diagnostic testing for specific typesof patient populations. The Sonographer II applies more in-depth clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills. Demonstratesan increased capacity to problem-solve through application of testing modalities. Demonstrates and completes unit-specific Competent Clinical Pathway. Must be a graduate of an approved diagnostic medical sonography program with minimum of one-year experience;additional clinical experience or credentials may be considered in lieu of some education. Must have specialty registry through ARDMS or CCI. Current BLS certification AHA is also ability to read write speak and understand English is required.
TheSonographer IIIdemonstrates advanced knowledge and skills in the management of diagnostic testing. Demonstrates focused critical thinking integrates multi-system implications and provides anticipatory observation and management for predictable events. Demonstrates interdisciplinary collaboration and an outcome-oriented approach to be a graduate of an approved diagnostic medical sonography program with a minimum of five years experience; additional clinical experience or credentials may be considered in lieu of some education. Must have specialty registry through ARDMS or BLS certification AHA is also registries preferred (ex. ARDMS: Pediatric Echo Fetal Echo Adult EchoORCCI: Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) Registered Cardiac Sonographer Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS). The ability to read write speak and understand English is required.
Shift:Full-Time Day Shift On-Call is required which can include weeknights & weekends.
***Thisposition is based at the main campus hospital and outpatient care center in Saint Petersburg FL. There is occasional travel required to additional outpatient care centers in the region. These centers are located approximately 30-45 minutes from the main campus; travel time may vary depending on traffic. If travel is required time and mileage will be compensated outside of normal time and travel to main campus.
Salary Range: Minimum 30.19/hour - Maximum 58.44/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
