With role is within the Self-Directed Service department of Fello where we contract with Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) as a Financial Management and Counseling Services (FMCS). In this Medicaid program participants are the Employer of Record and hire their own workers and choose their services while Fello handles all administrative tasks including payroll and bill payment.
The Financial Reporting Quality Review Specialist will support the Financial Reporting department with budget analysis audit participants budget processing complete adjustments and corrections and reconcile budgets. This role also supports annual audits special reviews and compliance activities. The Specialist will work collaboratively with the Financial Reporting team to ensure all financial activities align with FMCS contract requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting financial reporting and data reconciliation with hands-on experience working across multiple financial systems such as FMS Engine Paycom and Sage Intacct. A high level of technical proficiency accuracy and analytical thinking is critical as is the ability to handle complex and time-sensitive data tasks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also essential along with flexibility attention to detail and a team-oriented approach. Familiarity with DDA processes and budget reconciliation is strongly preferred.
