Job Description
Contractor employees shall inspect aerospace weapon systems components and support equipment for structural integrity using nondestructive inspection methods. Interpret nondestructive inspection test results and provide information about defects to repair center. Establishes radiation areas for radiographic operations. Computation and monitoring of individual personal exposure areas for radiographic operations and monitors personnel exposure data. Perform nondestructive inspection on structures components and systems to detect flaws such as cracks delamination voids processing defects and heat damage using penetrant eddy current magnetic particle radiographic optical and ultrasonic test equipment. Determines metallurgical information of components according to alloy temper conductivity and associated factors. Operate maintain and inspect nondestructive equipment; performs operator maintenance and service inspections on shop equipment and tools. Perform silver recovery functions. Handle and dispose of hazardous waste and materials. Be NAS410 level II or level III certified in each of the following methods: radiography eddy current penetrant magnetic particle and ultrasonic inspection methods. Contractor employees shall have completed initial Non Destructive Inspection Training Course and maintains basic qualification.
