Job Description
Position: QA Automation Test Lead
Location: Reston VA area or Plano TX area.
Hybrid: 3 days a Week Onsite
Mandatory
CI/CD Pipelines are there but need to manage from Testing perspective.
No handholding. Should be experienced and ready to go after the knowledge transfer sessions.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Automation Test Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in Selenium Java Cucumber and Gherkin with a strong background in designing and implementing automation frameworks. This role requires proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and executing automation scripts through Jenkins. Experience with Sauce Labs and Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design development and maintenance of robust automation frameworks using Selenium Java Cucumber and Gherkin.
Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins for automated test execution.
Integrate automation scripts with Jenkins and ensure smooth execution and reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers product managers and DevOps to ensure high-quality releases.
Utilize Sauce Labs for cross-browser and cross-platform testing (preferred).
Manage and track test cases defects and documentation using JIRA and Confluence.
Mentor and guide junior QA engineers and ensure best practices in automation testing.
Participate in sprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives as part of an Agile team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
6 years of experience in QA Automation with a strong focus on Selenium Java Cucumber and Gherkin.
Proven experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
Hands-on experience running automation scripts through Jenkins.
Familiarity with Sauce Labs or similar cloud-based testing platforms (preferred).
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC.
Proficiency in JIRA Confluence and other Atlassian tools.
Excellent problem-solving debugging and analytical skills.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with other automation tools or frameworks.
Exposure to performance or security testing tools.
ISTQB or similar QA certification.
