Job Description
Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Client: Food Manufacturing Industry
Duration: 4 Months (Possible Extension)
Location:th Ave NW Elk River MN 55330
Shift: Monday Friday 6:30 AM 3:00 PM
Job Summary
The Laboratory Technician will perform routine analytical and laboratory testing to support the Food Safety Quality and Operations teams. This role involves working under intermediate supervision documenting results calibrating instruments and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine testing and analysis on raw materials in-process and finished products.
- Monitor and verify instrument performance; conduct calibrations and basic repairs.
- Document and report test results into internal databases and communicate with relevant teams.
- Assist in developing and maintaining food safety quality and regulatory culture.
- Perform preventive maintenance and ensure compliance with testing protocols.
- Interpret test results and escalate complex issues to senior staff.
- Maintain up-to-date customer specification documentation.
- Handle clerical and technical support tasks under general supervision.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret safety protocols maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Skilled in writing clear reports and professional correspondence.
- Familiar with quantitative and qualitative laboratory testing processes.
- Strong attention to detail accuracy and compliance.
- Prior experience in food safety or laboratory testing preferred (not mandatory).
