DescriptionThe Program Manager is responsible for providing administrative operational and programmatic supportfor NIH sponsored CTSA award within the ConduITS and the Office of Research Services (ORS) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.The Program Manager I will have a thorough knowledge of institutional and program policies and procedures and may be instrumental in developing program policies
Responsibilities- Provide personalized support and connect researchers research staff and other stakeholders with research resource and expertise
- Work closely with IRB Grant and Contract office and other research regulatory offices to optimize rapid access to resources that maximize quality and efficiency
- Provide research Orientation to current and new staff/faculty
- Overseeing the Research list serv announcement research newsletter and Research 411 tickets
- Educate researchers about the school systems and workflow providing ongoing support as needed.
- Ensure continuous communication between the researchers and other stakeholders at the institution
- Disseminate internal and external communications to the research staff
- Anticipate barriers and formulate solutions to resolve or remove barriers to support the PI or study team in moving their study forward
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve research workflow and processes and bring it to leadership attention
- Collect evaluate and continually improve the methods based on the data collected through Research tickets user feedback and continuous monitoring of the evolving research landscape to incorporate the most current practices and regulations
- Plan develop implement and coordinate projects within Office of Research Services as assigned.
- Perform other related duties.
Qualifications- Bachelors degree or greater preferred or a combination of applicable experience and education
- 3 years experience (5 preferred) managing and administrating program activities for assigned area
