Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler for a 4-6 month remote contract engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture and modeling principles with hands-on expertise in designing and maintaining conceptual logical and physical data models to support enterprise-level data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop conceptual logical and physical data models to support data integration warehousing and reporting initiatives.

Implement dimensional modeling techniques (e.g. star schema snowflake schema) for analytical and BI use cases.

Collaborate with business analysts data engineers and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into robust data models.

Apply best practices in data normalization to ensure data integrity consistency and scalability.

Review and refine existing data models for optimization and alignment with current business needs.

Write and optimize SQL queries for data profiling validation and transformation support.

Ensure data models align with enterprise architecture and support data governance and quality initiatives.
Required Skills:

Strong understanding of conceptual logical and physical data modeling

Deep knowledge of data warehouse design patterns and best practices

Expertise in dimensional modeling techniques (e.g. star schema)

Solid grasp of data normalization principles

Proficient in SQL for querying and data validation
