Job Summary:

CSA Group has an opportunity for a Co-op Student Standards reporting to the Manager Operational this role you will support the Operational Excellence Manager in driving change through the identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities. You will engage with employees in analysis of identified areas critical to the standards development staff and CSA members. You will assist the Membership team by supporting initiatives across internal and external stakeholders through project execution and team facilitation.

The target start date for this role is September 2025 for ideally a term of 12 months. Please submit a cover letter with your application.

Responsibilities:

As Co-op Student the successful candidate will assist with operational excellence activities within the membership include:

  • Conduct data and process analysis and makes conclusions for the supervisor to review.
  • Assist as needed with other project and program activities related to strategic initiatives and conduct related research as needed.
  • Support membership team with administrative tasks associated with the annual conference.
  • Interfaces/coordinates activities with membership and standards development team.

Education and Experience:

  • Completion of second year or higher in an undergraduate program.
  • Knowledge of process improvement change management and project management would be an asset.
  • Working knowledge of standards development and business processes is an asset.
  • Experience working with volunteers and/or multi-stakeholder groups would be an asset.

Skills:

  • Excellent people skills: managing relationships facilitating and networking with people at all levels with divergent interests and backgrounds.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent project management organizational and planning skills. Detail and process orientation.
  • High degree of self-motivation initiative resilience and adaptability.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player.
  • Strong computer skills (word processing presentation software project planning software spreadsheets etc.).

Applicants with proficiency in French will be given special consideration.
