POSITION TITLE

Capital Markets Analyst ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds)

Reports To:

Head of ETF Portfolio Management and Capital Markets

POSITION SUMMARY

The Capital Markets Analyst role is responsible for all activities relating to the primary and secondary market activity of Aberdeens ETF suite. This role will be responsible for but not limited to managing market making relationships and developing and monitoring methods for measuring market quality of our ETFs. Additionally this role will support the management of operational relationships and processes as they relate to the ETF suite.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Day to day oversight of all operational aspects of our ETF suite.
  • Maintain communication with Market Makers and Authorized Participants.
  • Primary contact for our key product partners including service providers sub advisors and index providers.
  • Maintain relationships with all exchanges platforms and vendors through which our ETFs are offered.
  • Assist in the development of new exchange traded products and the establishment of new partnership opportunities for the US business.
  • Participate in seeding and launch process for ETFs/ETPs.
  • Develop market quality metrics and monitor them daily.
  • Continuously consider operational enhancements to existing products and processes.
  • Assist US investment strategist/product specialist in providing research and analysis of all aspects of competitor products.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships throughout the organization.
  • Produce educational content on ETF trading topics to support the sales effort.

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelors degree required; CFA and/or MBA preferred
  • Series 7 & 63 required (in first 6 months)
  • Bloomberg experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding analytical ability and a strong understanding of investment products and capital markets
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with both external and internal business partners
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to interact with people with varying degree of investment acumen
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information thoughtfully and reasonably; set high expectations for self and others
  • Strong applicable digital literacy such as Word Excel PowerPoint Charles River etc.
