Position Summary:
Reports to to the Senior Director Financial Planning & Analysis. Responsible for performing a wide variety of technical and analytical accounting tasks and procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Review audit and process corporate travel expense reports.
- Train and support MTC locations using the expense reporting module.
- Assist the senior director with managing the financial system processes and reports.
- Support the financial month-end close with module system processes.
- Design create and distribute financial reports for the finance department and other stakeholders.
- Assist with the financial planning and budgeting processes.
- Assist with financial statement analyses.
- Post journal entries to the accounting system review postings and correct errors.
- Support various banking functions.
- Assist with facility visits and the training of finance staff.
- Assist with month-end/year-end reporting.
- Provide positive quality customer service to corporate and facility staff.
- Maintain accountability of property; adheres to safety practices.
- Demonstrate a commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.
- Contribute to company Culture of Caring by maintaining positive and respectful relationships with employees customers vendors program recipients and our community.
- Ensure day-to-day activities promote sustainability and reduce the impact on the environment by minimizing waste and maximizing recycling; saving energy; and minimizing water usage.
- It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or related field and three years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles.
- Strong computer skills detail-oriented self-motivated and willingness to learn new processes and information systems.
- Must be willing and able to travel.
- Interested in participating in a collaborative team environment.
- Unless waived by management valid drivers license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
