Job Description

Classification Minimum Requirements:Bachelors degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Job Description:

- The incumbent will participate in professional development activities coaching and implementing training for Early Steps direct service providers service coordinators and other staff. They will be responsible for coaching consecutive provider cohorts and co-facilitating workshops for new cohort members. These workshops will focus on FL-EPIC home visiting practices and embedded interventions that support social-emotional development aligned with the Pyramid Model.

- The incumbent will be responsible for collecting coaching implementation fidelity data from sessions with Early Steps providers. Provide technical assistance to support providers in collecting home visiting data and transferring it through the coaching platform. The incumbent will also assist Early Steps providers in completing all documentation and activities required by FL-EPIC. They are expected to maintain proficiency in delivering coaching to Early Steps providers specifically related to the implementation of FL-EPIC home visiting practices and embedded interventions. Proficiency will be measured by submitting monthly or quarterly videotaped coaching sessions to the IHE team and demonstrating 80% or higher fidelity in coaching practices as assessed by the Provider Coaching Checklist.

- The incumbent will complete evaluations and assessments of the childs developmental status as well as assess the familys educational and support needs. They will provide services within the childs natural environment as outlined in the Individual Family Support Plan (IFSP). The incumbent will consult with other team members to ensure cohesive and consistent goals based on each childs developmental needs and capabilities. They will also maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of interventions and the effectiveness of services provided demonstrating measurable progress for each child and their family.

Expected Salary:

$22.98- $24.42 per hour

Required Qualifications:
  • This position requires a valid Florida drivers license and access to
    reliable transportation
  • This position requires a criminal background check
  • This position provides care to children the developmentally disabled
    disabled adults or is otherwise defined in section 110.1127 (3)(a) Florida
    statutes and therefore requires a special background check as
    described in section 435 Florida statutes
  • This position requires a post offer health assessment
  • This position must meet department of health childrens medical services
    requirement as a service coordinator and infant toddler developmental
    specialist and must be eligible to be a provider of Medicaid targeted case
    management and early intervention services
Preferred:
  • Experience providing early intervention services to families and children birth to age 3 in naturalenvironments
  • At least one year of experience providing pediatric early intervention;
  • Knowledge of services for children birth to three years old particularly with disabilities strongly desired
  • Experience working with adult learners
  • Effective communication collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated strength in organization and timeliness in meeting deadlines
  • Familiarity with computer software applications (e.g. Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Microsoft PowerPoint Zoom)
  • Familiarity with technology and technology applications
  • Ability to function under pressure in a fast-paced human service environment
  • Advanced knowledge of developmentally appropriate routines-based and evidence-informed early intervention practices
  • Experience designing delivering and evaluating professional development
  • Experience coaching consulting or mentoring practitioners or families
  • Experience collecting and analyzing professional development implementation and family and child outcome data
