Job Description
Work directly for a Lake County Indiana area steel processing plant.
Industrial Maintenance Mechanic:
As a member of the Maintenance Team the Mechanic will work to maintain equipment and machines within all departments.
* Knowledge in Hydraulics Pneumatics and Electrical Systems.
* Computer literate and understanding of PLC theory
* Ability to operate shop equipment Drill Press Band Saw Bench Grinder
* Perform routine maintenance on all equipment
* Assist with all reactive/repair maintenance
* Ability to read Blueprints Drawings and Schematics.
* Assist with all new equipment installations
* Provide assistance to all co-workers as necessary
* Perform various duties related but not stated to the maintenance operation as deemed necessary by manager
* At least 5 years experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or Apprentice.
* Technical schooling strongly preferred
* Attention to detail flexibility minimal supervision - self-motivated job knowledge productivity conscious.
* Must be team-oriented and have your own tools.
* Previous experience on Roll formers is a PLUS
* Ability to work independently or with a team and communicate effectively
* Plan lead and execute preventative maintenance (PM) according to PM schedule to minimize equipment downtime
* Operate a forklift as needed to complete duties
* Willingness to work holidays and weekends as needed
* Repair and Maintenance of all plant equipment and property
Listed: $33-$34/hr
