JOB Summary : The Supplier Quality Management Executive is responsible for ensuring that suppliers deliver high-quality materials components or products that meet the organizations quality standards and customer expectations. This role supports supplier evaluation quality assurance audits and continuous improvement efforts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supplier Evaluation & Onboarding : Assist in assessing and qualifying new suppliers through documentation review audits and initial sampling.
Quality Monitoring: Track and monitor supplier performance (defect rates delivery quality etc.) and maintain supplier scorecards.
Non-Conformance Management: Support investigation and resolution of supplier quality issues. Initiate NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and follow up on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Audit Support: Assist in planning and conducting supplier process audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
Sample & Specification Management: Coordinate sample evaluation processes including First Article Inspection (FAI) PPAP or pre-production approvals ensuring alignment with specifications.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality documents supplier approvals audits complaints and corrective actions. Generate weekly/monthly reports.
Communication & Coordination: Act as a liaison between internal teams (procurement production engineering) and suppliers for quality-related concerns.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in supplier development initiatives to improve quality performance and reduce defect rates through training or technical guidance.
Qualifications :
Diploma or Bachelors degree in Engineering Quality Management or a related field
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a quality or supply chain function (preferred in manufacturing or supplier management)
Knowledge of quality tools and systems (e.g. 8D 5 Whys FMEA CAPA)
Familiarity with ISO standards and supplier audit practices
Strong communication analytical and coordination skills
Required Skills:
Clear communication to work effectively with customers and teams
Ability to analyze and solve problems efficiently
Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and issue resolution
Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
