NielsenIQ Ireland is looking for a results-driven and self-motivated individual to join our team as a New Business Development Executive within the NIQ Ireland Sales team reporting to the Head of Sales
In this sales role the NBD Executive plays a pivotal role and will be at the forefront of driving revenue growth by identifying prospecting and securing new clients across Medium/Large and Global manufacturers in FMCG. You will leverage NielsenIQs market measurement data analytics and innovative market research solutions to demonstrate how we can help businesses grow optimize their strategies and outpace their competitors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in new business acquisition and thrive in a fast-paced high-energy environment.
Your Responsibilities:
Prospecting & Lead Generation: Proactively identify and target new business opportunities within designated sectors. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of whitespace by qualifying leads through cold calling/emailing networking and strategic outreach.
Sales Strategy Development: Develop tailored sales strategies and campaigns to increase visibility of NIQ Ireland services based on the clients industry needs and challenges. Leverage NielsenIQs suite of products and services to create compelling solutions.
Presentations & Demos: Conduct high-impact presentations product demonstrations and consultative meetings to showcase the value of NielsenIQs solutions.
Negotiation & Closing: Effectively negotiate terms and close deals to meet and exceed sales targets. Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to contract signing.
Reporting & CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of sales activities pipeline and client interactions in CRM. Provide regular updates on progress forecasts and key metrics on achieving revenue and profit targets.
Relationship Building: Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers at potential client organizations building trust and rapport to drive sales success. Managing and building a portfolio of clients where you are renewing and upselling products and solutions.
Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Collaborate with internal teams such as Central Client Account teams Marketing Customer Success and Product Management to ensure client needs are met and deliverables are achieved. Helping to create a vibrant and engaging culture built on high performance that drives results.
Market Intelligence: Stay informed of market trends competitor offerings and industry developments to provide relevant insights to clients and position NielsenIQ as a market leader.
Internal Engagement & Training: Partake in sales training knowledge sharing and whitespace analysis in order to sustain a culture of collaborative communication on sales best practice overcoming objections client news and occasional trade show attendance.
Your Qualifications:
Experience & Education: 3 years of successful experience or bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Business Marketing or related field. Experience must be in B2B/direct sales new business development or sales hunting preferably in data analytics market research FMCG or SaaS environments.
Interpersonal & Problem-Solving Skills: High energy self-starter and self-driven with good personal management and organisation skills with ability to multitask and deliver to deadlines. Active listening and problem-solving skills to identify client needs and challenges in order to propose customized solutions that deliver measurable results.
Sales Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in prospecting lead qualification and generating new business through relationship building networking or cold calling all while meeting or exceeding sales quotas and close complex deals in a competitive environment.
Technology Savvy: Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce Salesloft HubSpot etc.) Microsoft Office Suite specifically Excel and an understanding of data analytics tools and platforms is preferred.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of market research analytics or consumer insights in FMCG sector or equivalent with appreciation of NIQ and/or competitor products services and data.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
