Job Description:
Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for an A220 Propulsion Systems Delivery and Quality Manager to join our Procurement Department based in Mobile AL.
This positions responsibility is to lead the quality and conformity of the A220 Podded Power Plant Pylon (here after designed as PQUAD) from delivery/induction into A220 Final Assembly Line in Mobile and be the Airbus primary representative in front of the Airline customer for all PQUAD presentations and/or inspections. During the Aircraft delivery phase this person is part of the Aircraft delivery team and acts as the focal point for PQUAD Quality topics in front of the Airline Customer with the support of involved suppliers and other functions (e.g. delivery transaction managers FCMs MAP...).
The jobholder is accountable for acting in compliance with the requirements as set forth in Airworthiness Chapter 561 - Approved Manufacturers - Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs)

Run the Podded Power Plant and Pylon quality and conformity in compliance with A220 Quality Management System and Health/Safety standards from induction into FAL-Mobile and until aircraft delivery to the Airline Customer.
Be aware in a timely manner of the buy-off status of the PQUAD when transfer of title to Airbus Canada occurs in Mirabel (e.g. if there is any non-conformity request - NCR).
Attend and support any PQUAD presentation to the Airline Customer
Work with the Quality function (at FAL and in Mirabel) to ensure an accurate NCR status
Handle and present non-conformities requiring Airline Customer notification with support of functions and supplier as appropriate.
Manage snags raised by Airline Customer: the incumbent is accountable for snag closure within lead time and ensures snag buy back by A220 production organization.
Manage and drumbeat any PQUAD related non-conformance (RNC snag)
Inspect reworked PQUAD sub-part or full PQUAD assemblies back to production to allow their re-introduction present reallocation proposal to Airline Customer as needed. All work will be done in close relation with A220 Program Quality PQUAD Procurement Supplier and Delivery Transaction Managers.
Ensure and strive to improve customer satisfaction by addressing CSIP feedback
Actively contribute to continuous improvement within the A220 organization.
Manage production escapes from upstream production cycle
Participate in daily/weekly meetings as required for production scheduling quality and conformity topics
Address customer concerns during A/C delivery phase in close coordination with engine and nacelle supplier and other functions within Airbus
Support within their perimeter projects aiming at improving business efficiency and protection of Airbus interests (in line with A220 production cost abatement targets)
Support as required value stream and customer transformation projects aiming at adapting and incorporating new systems and quality management tools.
Support audits as required (internal and by Transport Canada Civil Aviation Authorities)
Required: Bachelors degree preferred. Technical background is required.
Required: 3 or more years of working experience in aircraft propulsion systems and/or procurement related fields.
Product knowledge: Engineering background preferred
Knowledge of Supply Chain Quality processes. (i.e. audits control processes inspections etc.)
Ability to be autonomous
Able to build/develop trustful relationships with team members peers collaborators (including industrial partners)
English at advanced level French would be a plus.
Can effectively communicate complex issues and manage collaborators at a senior management level both internally and externally
Leadership management: Act with integrity influence others manage conflict assertiveness decide speak up build team spirit
Microsoft Office (Word Excel Powerpoint) and Google suite proficiency at intermediate level is expected
Enterprise management software is required. SAP experience is preferred.
Around 10% travel is common for this position
Able to travel domestically and internationally sometimes on short notice.
Physical Requirements:
Vision: adequate to read material on computer screens and aircraft gauges. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings the giving of directions and other business interactions
Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings. Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.
Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.
Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment. Working on fuselage jigs at a height of 15 feet. Able to work on hydraulic lifts sometimes at a height of up to 40 feet.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands (for ex. Lifting working in heights): capable to support 2 shift system and occasional weekends based on business needs.
Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 55lbs/25kg while engaging in training addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects.
Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 55lbs/25kg.
Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas.
Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at computer in meetings or on aircraft.
Squatting/Kneeling: able to work on in the wing or center box in a confined space. Entrance into the wing by a 9.8 inch x 17.7 inch oval opening. Able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information.
Travel: able to travel overseas and domestically
Walking: able to walk through office and production areas around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor and/or outdoor surfaces.
