Overview
The Chief Development Officer (CDO) will work closely with the CEO and serve as a key member of the executive leadership team. They will be responsible for spearheading the clinics strategic growth and expansion initiatives. This dynamic leader will identify and capitalize on new business opportunities forge strategic partnerships and drive expansion efforts to enhance the clinics market presence and long-term financial performance in new areas and territories throughout the state of North Carolina.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Bethany Medical is the largest independent established multi-specialty group in Central North Carolina serving the Triad and surrounding communities for over thirty-seven years. Bethany Medical is open seven days a week with thirteen convenient locations and sixteen practices in Greensboro Winston-Salem High Point Kernersville Jamestown North Wilkesboro and Mt Airy North Carolina. We have grown to provide the facilities staff and support to offer urgent care primary care diagnostic testing outpatient ancillary and specialty care services onsite. Bethany Medical is staffed with board-certified physicians and providers representing sixteen medical specialties. Practice staff members are recognized for providing prompt personalized care and attention to each patient. Bethany Medical employs over sixty providers and over five hundred and seventy-five employees.
About the Triad:
The Triad area includes Greensboro (the third-largest city in NC) Winston-Salem High Point and the surrounding area. The Triad is centrally located in NC with a population of 1.9 million. The Triad is one hour from the mountains and three hours from the beach. Charlotte and Raleigh are one and a half hours from the Triad. - Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies that align with the clinics mission vision and financial goals.
- Identify evaluate and pursue strategic opportunities including acquisitions to grow the clinics services and footprint.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders physicians healthcare systems community leaders and regulatory bodies.
- Lead complex negotiations related to contracts and affiliations ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.
- Analyze market trends competitive positioning and regulatory changes to inform strategic planning and mitigate potential risks.
- Collaborate with the CEO President and other senior leaders to integrate financial planning and operational strategies into growth initiatives.
- Prepare and deliver regular updates and performance reports to the CEO President and executive team.
Education:
- Masters degree in business administration healthcare administration or a related field strongly preferred.
- A bachelors degree combined with extensive relevant experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in business development or strategic growth roles within the healthcare industry.
- At least 5 years of executive-level leadership experience in a for-profit healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated success in driving acquisitions and strategic alliances.
Skills & Competencies:
- Deep knowledge of U.S. healthcare market dynamics provider networks start-up clinics and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities with a history of motivating cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving strengths.
- Adept in using CRM platforms market research tools and standard business productivity software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
