Senior Accountant II - Internal Control

The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.

Holman is currently accepting resumes for the position of Senior Accountant II Internal Control.

Principal Purpose of Position:

• Support leadership in providing guidance to the Internal Control staff
• Prepare complex account reconciliations including bank reconciliations
• Review Internal Control staffs account reconciliation preparation for completeness and accuracy on a monthly basis
• Review external departments account reconciliations to support complete and accurate financial reporting
• Maintain oversight on company policies and operating procedures
• Ensure proper disclosures in external financial statements according to GAAP
• Prepare and/or approve any necessary journal entries
• Review and approve invoices
• Assist with any closing related items
• Work with other departments in updating and improving existing procedures and processes
• Mentor and train new employees throughout the onboarding process
• Coordinate and lead various projects as needed
• Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned
• Collaborate with other departments to implement the appropriate accounting for company operations and transactions

Education and/or Training:

• Ensure proper disclosures in external financial statements according to GAAP
• CPA or MBA preferred

Relevant Work Experience:

• 5 years of experience in accounting or related position performing Accounting and financial data analysis tasks.
