The American Lung Association has an excellent opportunity for a Health Promotions Intern in Los Angeles CA. Working alongside members of the Los Angeles Grant Team the intern will join an outstanding group of professionals dedicated to our mission: to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through research education and advocacy. The intern will assist the American Lung Association Los Angeles staff to execute health promotion and tobacco prevention activities to gain experience in the field of outreach education evaluation health policy and community organizing in the context of tobacco prevention. The intern will support initiatives focused on smokefree outdoor public spaces smokefree multi-unit housing and the tobacco retail collaboration with the project team the intern will attend community events assist in data collection and participate in community recruitment events and presentations.
This is a paid internship position requiring a minimum time commitment of 12 hours per week (flexible schedule). This position is for Fall 2025 and must be completed by December 5 2025. The hourly rate for this internship is $18.00 per hour.
