Job Summary
The Visibility Manager of Software Engineering manages and oversees the design and development of software applications.
Responsibilities
- Directs the work of engineers to ensure the best practices around software development.
- Requires Bachelors degree in Software Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Typically reports to a senior manager or top management.
- Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
- Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
- Has full authority for personnel actions.
- Extensive knowledge of department processes.
- Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in the related area as an individual contributor and minimal supervisory experience may be required.
- Role will entail 50% management 50% development work.
- Development Skills required:
- C# HTML JavaScript JavaScript Framework Experience CSS Framework Experience MS SQL Server
- Development Skills desired:
- Vuetify npm git Azure DevOps Agile & Waterfall SDLC
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Software Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 7 years of software development experience
- Experience in the material handling industry distribution centers and warehouse automation
- Knowledge of WMS material handling equipment and software offerings
- Knowledge of Team Foundation Server version control system
- Knowledge of business practices and project management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and listening skills
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead work teams and projects effectively
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines
- Ability to learn new technologies
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Team-oriented and collaborative
