Are you an experienced ICT Procurement Manager seeking an opportunity to drive high-impact procurement transformation within the Commonwealth government

Resolve Recruit is partnering with a leading Commonwealth Government agency to find a highly skilled ICT Procurement Manager.

Our client is a specialised Commonwealth agency responsible for delivering Australias most significant defence capability program. Operating at the intersection of advanced technology national security and international partnerships this agency plays a crucial role in Australias sovereign defence manufacturing capabilities. This role offers the chance to lead strategic procurement processes for cutting-edge defence technology specialised systems integration and secure cloud services whilst ensuring compliance with stringent government procurement frameworks and defence-specific legislative requirements.

As an ICT Procurement Manager you will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement processes for complex ICT projects from sourcing strategies through to contract management. You will work closely with stakeholders and vendors to ensure effective procurement outcomes whilst driving cost optimisation initiatives across cloud spending and vendor relationships. Additionally you will provide strategic guidance on procurement policies and frameworks helping to build organisational capability and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end ICT procurement activities including systems integration cloud infrastructure and consulting services.
  • Prepare high-quality procurement documentation such as approval briefs RFQs evaluation reports and contract recommendations.
  • Analyse cloud expenditure identify cost savings and implement optimisation strategies across service engagements.
  • Manage supplier contracts resolve procurement issues and ensure delivery against project requirements.
  • Support contract negotiations lead sourcing strategies and ensure compliance with relevant Commonwealth procurement frameworks

Key Experience and Skills:

  • 5 years demonstrated experience in Commonwealth ICT procurement with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and frameworks.
  • Proven ability to lead complex procurement engagements for ICT assets platforms and technology services.
  • Deep knowledge of Commonwealth procurement policy contract management and vendor governance.
  • Experience managing cloud-related procurement and implementing cost optimisation strategies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across both government and commercial environments.
