Our design engineers work as part of a team to support: product designs manufacturing methods and product improvements. This requires performing engineering calculations creation and review of part models and drawings and the generation of technical documentation. They also provide hands-on technical support for the manufacture assembly and testing of prototype equipment on-site as well as interfacing with suppliers sales engineers and project/product managers to develop new innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take products from concept to production with a practical understanding of manufacturing and solid engineering fundamentals.
- Provide innovative solutions to product design and development and DFM.
- Creation and review of bills of materials manuals and plant fabrication drawings.
- Complete and review mechanical design and engineering calculations.
- Machine design materials selection stress analysis and structural optimization.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 3D CAD design experience (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
- Experience with industrial refrigeration
Preferred:
- Proven manufacturing background.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Experience in design for assembly and design for manufacturability.
- Experience with metal fabrication and assembly processes.
- Ability to successfully manage both up and down within the organization.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3-5 years related experience
