Summary
Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the shipping receiving storing and distribution of materials parts supplies and equipment rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary. Within parameters determines routing and arrangements for shipments considering such factors as nature of items being shipped method of handling size urgency and cost.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Receives incoming Customer Furnished Equipment ensuring precise accountability and control.
Prepares and maintains records of products shipped and tracks shipments.
Verifies quantity quality and conformance of materials to stated identifications.
Maintains records of received goods processes freight bills packing sheets and other documents. Stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
Lifts heavy items and may operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks tow motors forklifts etc. upon receipt of internal certification.
Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
May perform wood shop functions such as operating power saws and nail guns in building skids and crates.
Consults rate schedule for specific rates depending on method of shipment and/or distance shipped.
Assesses most economical and efficient common or contract carrier to transport shipments.
Calculates and records storage redelivery and other applicable charges.
May reroute urgent shipments of an urgent nature or arrange for special delivery at destination.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Requires a High School Diploma and minimum of 4 year of prior relevant experience or 2 years post- Secondary /Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Share Point etc.)
Warehousing receiving shipping and forklift experience

Security Responsibilities
Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials in any form. Shall not divulge any information or afford access to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Work Environment
- Able to work in a warehouse environment.
Able to work to a flexible schedule and overtime as .
Some travel may be to assist with certain projects (e.g. Kaizens)
