We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Certied Academic Language Therapist (CALT) to support our Lower School students (K-2) with dyslexia and related language-based learning differences. The ideal candidate will be mission-driven highly collaborative and skilled in delivering structured literacy interventions in alignment with the Science of Reading.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized or small-group academic language therapy for students with diagnosed dyslexia or language-based learning differences
- Develop and implement therapy plans using research-based multisensory explicit and systematic instruction (Build and Take Flight)
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation progress reports and goal tracking
- Collaborate with classroom teachers learning specialists administration and parents to support student success across the curriculum
- Conduct or support assessments to inform instruction and eligibility
- Participate in team meetings professional development and faith-based school activities
- Uphold and model Catholic values and support the schools mission
Qualications
- Certied Academic Language Therapist (CALT) credential required
- Bachelors or Masters degree in education special education or a related eld
- Minimum 2 years of experience providing academic language therapy in a school or clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of dyslexia reading disorders and evidence-based literacy instruction (e.g. Take Flight Build Alphabetic Phonics or equivalent)
- Excellent communication organization and collaboration skills
- Practicing Catholic preferred but not required
