Design Consultant

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Designer position is responsible for working with direct clients builders and their clients and other designers to assist in the selection and overall design of living spaces interior and exterior product selection with respect to clients styles location and color.

Essential Functions

• Actively participate in the day-to-day management of jobs under your control. This includes but is not limited to granite quartz solid surface wood acrylic tubs glass mirror tile.
• Assist managing showroom locations pertaining to samples literature showroom design and visual aids. Assist with Design Center library as required.
• Establish schedules with Construction Resources showroom and sales staff to better facilitate serving our customers.
• Prepare quotes based on customer provided plans when necessary. Ability to interpret plans will be required.
• Participate in marketing and promotions when required. Attend Trade Shows Industry Events and Local NKBA NARI HBA ASID and ABC meetings when required. All expenses paid by Construction Resources.

Competencies/Skills/Abilities

• Associates Degree or higher in Design or related field
• 2-5 years previous work experience in the construction or distribution industry preferably in a designer sales or customer support role

• Ability to read and quote pricing/product from Architectural Plans required
• Ability to be detail oriented and multi-task; work within specified timeframes
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; Outlook Excel Word

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

This job operates within the Companys Design Center and/or Showroom

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position and days and hours of work vary among business unit. Occasional Saturday work will be required.
