This position is part of the Finance department located in Coralville IA and will be on-site. At IDT we are one global team. We celebrate our differences engage in healthy debate and are inclusive. Together we accomplish great things
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
Guides financial decisions by establishing monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures. Maintains daily management and close cadence as established by Danaher. Ensures through leaders that financial controls remain robust and plays a critical SME role for the CFO and President in that regard.
Protects assets by establishing monitoring and enforcing internal controls (SOX) through the Assistant Controller and International Controller. Reports status to the CFO monthly. Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits providing information to internal and external auditors.
Leads by establishing schedules related to monthly quarterly & yearly close monitors and reports deviations from schedule and through the International Controller and Assistant Controller drive closure of audit findings and remediation.
Complies with federal state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new accounting principles or legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions. GAAP/IFRS SME that liaises with Corporate Accounting as needed.
Maintains financial staff job results by coaching mentoring and developing associates through the P4G and and sets expectation for the use and deployment of DBS tools to drive transactional process improvement to allow proper scaling with growth.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Lead and directs other projects as requested up to an including acquisition and integration accounting. SME for OBS/CBS accounting and reconciliations. Leads integration workstream for Finance/Accounting. Works with FP&A to define forecasts and provide supplemental analysis as needed.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance fields with 14 years experience OR Masters/Doctoral degree in field with 12 years experience AND Related experience includes 4 years managing people
Current CPA Licensure
Experience field of financial discipline with increasing responsibility
Controller or Finance Director expertise required
Leadership experience in a global organization ability to define and execute policy in a global environment through direct and indirect management.
Demonstrated ability to drive results through others and drive engagement to line level leaders and associates.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience in an SEC registered company preferred.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
