We have an exciting role on offer within our Transport and Infrastructure Service as a Driver.
About Us
We are looking to recruit team members to work during term time who are excited to drive within our Integrated Transport Unit. We are looking to recruit a term time only Driver within our Integrated Transport Unit conveying vulnerable adult and child passengers to and from care facilities schools academies and other education sites.
Our Drivers work alone or in partnership with Passenger Assistants providing a specialist transport service and are the link between parents/carers and service provider staff. We are seeking applicants that will embed the values of Middlesbrough Council and will be passionate about our service to those whom our service supports.
To be successful in this role you need a full driving license with D1 entitlement to drive.
Mandatory training is given to all Drivers such as customer excellence wheelchair security first aid etc. Specific training is available to Drivers dependent upon the needs of the individuals they are responsible for.
You will have a responsibility for ensuring that passenger safety and wellbeing is their priority and that transport is a comfortable and a happy environment. This post may include the support and assistance to a child and or adult who has SEND and or other medical need. It will also include the loading and unloading of passengers in wheelchairs buggies and other equipment suitable for transport. We are seeking applicants that will embed the values of Middlesbrough Council and will be passionate about our service to those whom our service supports.
