The Assistant Athletic Director of Intercollegiate Club Sports position directs organizes supervises and evaluates all scheduling and game operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Bachelors Degree Required; Masters preferred
Experience and Training
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Athletics background a plus
Knowledge Skills Ability:
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Must be highly organized
- Must have knowledge of programming and administering club sports
- Knowledge of Microsoft word excel adobe creative cloud (photo shop)
- Must be able to be a team player
- Ability to demonstrate a commitment to High Point Universitys Vision Mission and Values and the values of the HPU Athletic Department
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Meets regularly with part time club coaches/students
- Authorizes equipment purchases and repairs
- Creates and maintains club sports manual of operations
- Advises clubs on travel liability practice competition state and national competition
- Communicates directly with club coaches and students to help assist with program management.
- Assists when necessary with associated campus clubs and organizations student activities and other student services
- Assists in the development and implementation of risk management policies and procedures
- Attends HPU events to promote the club sports program as assigned
- Performs other duties as assigned
ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Position reports to the Athletic Director for Intercollegiate Club Sports
- Position is accountable for assistance of the management and direction of all club sports programs
