At RiverMead our Culinary Services in the Health Center blend the art of hospitality with evidence-based nutrition and compassionate care. We take pride in creating a dining experience that promotes wellness dignity and joy.
We are currently seeking a Culinary Supervisor to lead our front-of-house Health Center team specifically in the Assisted Living kitchens. This role ensures that meals are served efficiently courteously and in compliance with dietary guidelines and sanitation standards. The Culinary Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting a mission-driven dining experience by managing a team of servers and collaborating with the kitchen dietitian and healthcare staff.
Supervise train and schedule dining room staff to ensure consistent high-quality service.
Maintain a clean organized and welcoming dining environment
Monitor meal service for timeliness accuracy and adherence to dietary guidelines
Serve as the primary point of contact for guest and resident concerns during service
Coordinate closely with culinary and healthcare teams for seamless meal delivery
Ensure compliance with health safety and sanitation standards
Oversee dining room supply inventory and assist with ordering as needed
Foster a supportive team-oriented work environment focused on accountability and growth
High school diploma or equivalent (Associates or Bachelors degree in hospitality or related field preferred)
2 years of experience in a supervisory or lead server role preferably in healthcare or senior living
Strong understanding of food safety sanitation and dietary requirements
Excellent communication interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings weekends and holidays as needed
Experience working in a wellness or healthcare dining environment
Familiarity with electronic ordering or point-of-sale (POS) systems
Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
