2) Job Context & Major Challenges:
Job Context:Mahan CPP had 12 nos. Boiler Feed Pump (BFP) 12 NOS. Condensate extraction pump 12 nos Gland steam fan 12 Ball re-circulation pump 12 nos DMCCW Pump 18 numbers ACW pumps18 nos chemical dosing skid 15 Condenser Cooling Water Pump 18 numbers ACW pumps i.e. each unit having two numbers. Each major equipment BFP having suction strainer booster pump Voith coupling and Boiler feed pump. Volume the job is complete set of the pump maintenance consist booster pump suction strainer Voith coupling including lub. oil & working cooler and main BFP.
Job Challenges:Complete and resolve day to day problem of the system regarding oil leakage increase of the bearing temperature water leakage and problem related to Voith coupling coolers and mechanical seal. Planned for overhauling and complete opportunity-based alignment for minimize the vibration issue. Replacement of BFP Cartridge i: e loading & unloading and bring the machine in operation. Reconditioning of cartridge in OEM workshop or expert agency workshop. Schedule PM and spare parts to be maintained for availability of the equipments.

Supporting Actions
Daily work management
Ensures safe and timely completion of maintenance activities of BFP.
Coordination with peers of other section of own department/ other department.
Obtain PTW before starting of work and Return of PTW after completion of work.
Discussion/ reporting to superior regarding progress of job.
Maintaining logbook/PM check sheet /equipment history.
Identification and implementation of improvement projects.
Maintaining the document on issue and return of tools and tackles.
Monitor oil top-up and filter cleaning as per requirements.
Planning of spare parts pumps & system filter oil inventory to be done on regular basis.
Independently handling of unit abnormalities during odd hours.
Systems
Participation in WCM small group activities.
Monitoring the health of equipment through LLF.
Maintaining Basic Condition of Equipment assigned as owner.
Having HMF knowledge.
Having knowledge of quality policy.
Safety
Ensure use of required PPE by the workmen.
Conducting tool box talk to workmen before start of work.
Preparation of SWI and HIRA as per SMP.
Reporting of near miss/ Potential Incidence.
Intervention & training also ensue as per target.
Ensure disposal of oil as per environment norm.
Having knowledge of safety & environment policy.
Having Knowledge sustainability.
Competency building of self and team.
Participating in kaizen competition.
Attending training programed.
Imparting training to workmen.
Encouraging workmen to give suggestion/ to participate in kaizen.
Relay training of SWI to workman.
