As the Home Health RN Director of Nursing (DON) you will be responsible for overall administration of the clinical departments and monitoring of appropriate staffing and productivity. You will lead a team of skilled nurses and caregivers ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.
- Directs and coordinates branch and assumes responsibility for continuity quality and safety of services delivered. Identifies problem areas to Administrator / Supervising Nurse.
- Promotes the philosophy and administrative policies of the Agency in an effort to ensure quality of patient/client care.
- Supervises and provides direction to subordinates in an effort to ensure quality and continuity of services.
- Employs recruits manages and directs qualified personnel to carry out the policies and procedures of the Agency. Ensures staff education and evaluations.
- Promotes and monitors compliance with fiscal intermediary and / or other third-party payors federal and state regulations through education coaching QAPI program and other assistance as necessary.
- Monitors operational systems for efficiency and compliance with regulations and identifies problem areas to Administrator / Supervising Nurse.
- Provides communication to parent office regarding needs of the branch to include personnel needs financial needs professional practices quality issues and planning.
- Assures documentation of services provided is accurate and timely.
- Uses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills; facilitates the use of these skills by other team members to achieve desirable outcomes.
- Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Masters degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Current license as a registered nurse (RN) in Texas and/or in accordance with the Board of Nurse .
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with 1 years in a leadership role in home health or palliative care.
- Strong understanding of home health regulations and standards.
- Home Care Home Base experience strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Reliable transportation. Valid and current auto liability insurance.
