Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of entry-level Materials Engineers located in:
Materials Engineersmay work at any of Chevrons worldwide operations or with Chevrons Technology Projects and Execution is encouraged as there are many opportunities for Chevron engineers to work in a variety of assignments initially at different domestic locations and possibly international locations later in their Horizons training program combines technical training and mentoring with on-the-job experience providing you with two to three assignments in the first five years. Horizons is intended to build technical breadth and depth at an accelerated rate. The program aids you in determining a career path which can involve a wide range of activities including metallurgy welding corrosion control and non-metallic materials. You will support the global operation of refineries oil fields pipelines and chemical as well as participate in the design of new facilities. Your duties will include material selection resolving corrosion problems conducting failure analyses researching and solving problems and providing non-destructive examination support. Youll participate on teams that help other engineers make the best use of current materials technology.
