Job Summary
The Evergreen State College seeks a full-time adjunct faculty member for the 25-26 academic year with broad training and experience in psychology who is interested in teaching in a collaborative liberal arts context using a student-centered approach. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working with students from underserved populations and whose teaching emphasizes applied critical interdisciplinary and social justice-oriented approaches to individual and community healing. The successful candidate will teach a sequence of 5-credit courses Psychology: ARTS at The Evergreen State College-Tacoma campus undergraduate program.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree in psychology
Preferred Qualifications
At least 5 years experience working with underserved populations Ability to design and lead structured visual art exercises mind-mapping guided self-reflection and collaborative dialogue to facilitate students exploration of psychological themes such as resilience identity formation trauma response communication and emotional regulation
