JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Pennsylvania State University College of Education is seeking to hire GAs.
The Associate Dean of Access Equity and Inclusion seeks a doctoral level graduate student for the 2025-2026 academic year. This position which begins on August 25 2025. Subj line: GA 2025-2026.Please send resume/CV to Dean Leah Hollis () and Barbara Newhall (). Please indicate in a brief cover letter your research interests strengths in methodology and your home department.
This position will assist the Associate Dean with her research projects (includes potential for publications and conferencing) Duties include:
- Coding qualitative data
- Developing literature reviews
- Developing research study design
- Participating in grant development
- Recruiting study participants (via internet)
- Assisting in preparing IRB development if needed
- The graduate student will work directly with faculty administrative staff members as needed to support research
As such the ideal candidate must be:
- Team oriented
- Coachable and analytically curious
- Passionate for research and creative problem solving
- Completed quantitative and qualitative methods courses
- Organized
