Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot diagnose and repair a wide range of production tool room and material handling equipment including stamping presses automatic coiling machines punch presses multi-slides 4-slide machines grinders heat-treating units and other related machinery.
Disassemble equipment to replace or rebuild defective components such as motors gears bearings shafts fittings and control systems. Reassemble and test for proper functionality.
Rebuild production equipment by inspecting replacing worn parts reassembling and conducting thorough testing and adjustments.
Maintain and troubleshoot systems related to HVAC air compressors and environmental controls. Disassemble units to replace worn components reassemble and ensure full operational status.
Layout install and repair electrical power lines and perform control panel wiring including work with electrical panels circuits and PLCs.
Conduct preventive and scheduled maintenance including oiling lubricating filter replacement dust collector cleaning and inspecting equipment. Maintain necessary reports and records.
Assist with equipment installations by connecting power water and air lines balancing electrical loads and installing safety and ventilation systems.
Perform general building maintenance including electrical carpentry plumbing concrete and roofing work as needed.
Order replacement parts and maintenance supplies as necessary.
Conduct routine maintenance inspections and keep accurate maintenance logs.
Follow all lockout/tag-out procedures during equipment servicing.
Operate forklifts to assist with the removal or installation of machinery subassemblies.
Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean organized work environment.
Communicate any unusual equipment issues to the supervisor.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
6 10 years of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and a strong work ethic.
Availability to work on the first or modified first shift; overtime may be required.
Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical panels circuits and PLCs.
Strong mechanical repair skills with knowledge of stamping presses multi-slides spring machines heat-treat ovens and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints.
Skilled in the use of milling machines lathes and other machine shop tools with precision tolerance requirements.
Capable of performing building maintenance tasks.
Proficient in using machine tools precision measuring instruments electrical test meters hand and power tools and welding equipment.
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and perform work requiring standing or kneeling for extended periods.
