Job Description
The Design Engineer role involves supporting various internal departments in HVTL design construction and maintenance. This includes understanding transmission line design practices utilizing relevant software adhering to design standards and providing support to construction and maintenance teams. The role also encompasses quality assurance material estimation and construction package transmission.
- Supporting internal departments involved in HVTL design construction and maintenance.
- Understanding transmission line design practices and work processes.
- Using all software applications used in HVTL design.
- Understanding NESC and design standards.
- Supporting design standard and criteria development for the system.
- Supporting construction and maintenance teams during day-to-day operations and during emergency restoration of failed equipment.
- Providing quality assurance reviews for PLS-CADD line models and job construction packages.
- Estimating material for transmission projects.
- Transmitting construction packages and supporting specifications.
- Advanced engineering knowledge.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Significant discretion in making independent decisions based on procedure.
- Proficient TLD software knowledge.
- Strong work ethic.
