Role: Lead Feedstock Supply Chain Management
Segmentation & Survey
- Develop sourcing strategy for all feedstocks.
- Assess risk associated with feedstock and energy supply and develop risk mitigation strategies to cost-effectively reduce risk to the business.
- Develop relationships with existing and prospective suppliers to create competition and supply alternatives that lead to reduced costs with high security of supply.
- Develop relationships within the RBL procurement network to leverage RBL purchasing power and knowledge.
- Value chain mapping of the feedstock.
Prospecting & Approach
- Actively scout the feedstock source to explore and identify new opportunities besides existing feedstock sources and actively manage the feedstock opportunity.
- Lead option generation that includes commercial specification and demand levers and choices of priorities.
- Collection of the references & contact data.
Market Intelligence
- Develop an understanding of core supply and demand drivers for all feedstocks and energy for the business.
- Monitor industry changes to feedstock and energy supply including regulatory changes that could impact supply.
- Be aware of and participate in RBL sustainability goals when sourcing feedstocks and energy for the site.
- Develop and improve business processes related to feedstock and energy procurement.
Planning
- Lead option generation that includes commercial specification and demand levers and choices of priorities.
- Conduct Feedstock Supplier Management activities including researching identifying and validating the credibility of new Circular Feedstock suppliers.
- Monthly plan and annual plan against indent and availability.
- Further weekly and daily planning of the material.
- Plan Vs actual daily weekly monthly & annual.
- Monthly cash outflow plan Performance analysis based on net cost to GCV.
Vendor Relationship Management
- Develop and lead Feedstock Supplier Relationship teams where applicable to drive continuous performance improvement (annual target development quarterly progress etc).
- Monthly meeting with the vendors and taking their feedback.
- Work across multiple cross-functional teams where you will be expected to have influence without authority.
- Festive greetings and distribution of gifts to them from time to time.
- Maintain a professional relationship and address concerns raised in a timely manner.
- Engage in straight and transparent communication with them.
- Share company news and discuss future growth and new developments regularly.
Negotiation
- Manage contract status of feedstocks and energy to timely conduct bid proposals.
- Negotiate and maintain contracts and supplier relationships that cost-effectively manage risk and cost.
- Ensure contracts adhere to RBL standards and specifications.
- Possess good negotiation skills and be well-prepared with all the requirements before starting discussions.
Closure & Ordering
- Ensure written consent from both parties on agreed terms of closure & ordering.
- Ensure collection of all required documents for ordering before leaving the closure meeting.
- Check and approve all consent note submissions before issuing orders and ensure confirmation/acceptance is obtained.
Skills/Competencies
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of contract negotiation risk evaluation and mitigation sourcing strategy development and a track record of delivering cost savings through identifying opportunities and driving complex supplier negotiations to closure.
- Experience developing and managing contracts.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
