Job Description
Job Title: Pipe Fitter
Install fit and assemble piping systems in industrial commercial or residential projects.
Measure cut thread bend and weld pipes using appropriate tools and techniques.
Read and interpret blueprints schematics and isometric drawings for layout planning.
Select appropriate piping materials based on the job requirements and specifications.
Test piping systems for leaks using pressure gauges and other testing equipment.
Perform maintenance and repairs on existing pipe systems as needed.
Collaborate with welders engineers and construction teams to ensure alignment with project timelines.
Adhere to safety guidelines and regulatory standards throughout all activities.
Maintain inventory of tools and supplies used in pipe fitting operations.
Ensure quality workmanship and compliance with engineering codes and safety regulations.
Essential Qualifications:
ITI / Diploma in Pipe Fitting Mechanical or related trade.
Proven work experience as a Pipe Fitter or in a similar role.
Certification in pipe fitting or welding is an added advantage.
Skills Required:
Proficiency in using tools such as pipe threaders cutters reamers and welding equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and schematics.
Strong knowledge of materials used in pipe systems and their applications.
Good physical condition and the ability to lift heavy materials and work in confined spaces.
Attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
