Description:
The Senior Developer will support the Enterprise Security Monitoring program by providing hands-on development support for our Security Incident Response and Vulnerability Response modules as part of the Service NOW platform. This includes primarily development responsibilities to enable features or functionality that align with business requirements providing subject matter expertise to support development practices and sustainability of the Service Now platform administrative and integration support.
In this role the Senior ServiceNow Developer will:
- Provide development and engineering support for the Ontario Government enterprise security monitoring projects. This role primarily includes development work and administrative support for Service Now with a focus on the Security Incident Response and Vulnerability Response modules.
- Possess strong knowledge of software development practices and processes with the ability to provide active development work and support.
- Provide operational support deployment coordination change management and documentation as required for development or administration related work for Service Now
- Work effectively with other security teams and external partners to assist in development and engineering with Service Now Security Incident Response to align its configuration and functionality with organizational and strategic goals.
- Work with vendors of supported products to report issues assist with research and manage issues to resolution and identify solutions to technical challenges.
- Create documentation to ensure appropriate operational process and procedures are followed for consistent usage of the technology and to remediate technical issues in the event of business impacting incidents or issues.
Responsibilities:

- Extensive experience with software development and understanding of system administration principles.
- Experience in structured methodologies for the development implementation and ongoing administration of Service Now.
- Experience translating business requirements into developed software functions workflows business rules etc.
- Experience with systems design and development lifecycle quality assurance testing and integration methodologies.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills

- Ability to develop and manage integrations with enterprise systems to ensure seamless data flow

DevOps developer / engineering experience:
- 5 years experience writing code using Javascript HTML Angular CSS AJAX
