Job Description

Summary

The Construction Process Manager will lead data-driven process optimization for construction projects. This role is responsible for owning and streamlining construction processes developing scorecards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for general contractors and materials partners and interpreting data to drive actionable insights. Success will be measured by the ability to deliver meaningful results that enhance project efficiency cost-effectiveness and partner performance. The Teammate in this role will also perform data analysis and administrative duties to support the Construction Team and provide comprehensive support services and routine tracking and analysis of all store projects.

Process Ownership and Optimization:

  • Design implement and manage data-driven processes for construction project planning execution and closeout ensuring alignment with department goals.
  • Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and develop streamlined processes to improve project timelines budgets and quality.
  • Leverage data analytics to monitor process performance and recommend continuous improvements.
  • Develop and maintain scorecards to evaluate general contractors performance based on metrics such as project completion time budget adherence safety compliance and quality standards.
  • Define and track KPIs for general contractors and materials partners including on-time delivery cost variance defect rates and sustainability metrics.
  • Analyze construction project data (e.g. cost reports timelines quality audits) to identify trends risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate complex datasets into actionable insights through clear visualizations reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Drive decision-making by presenting data-driven recommendations to optimize contractor and partner performance.
  • Submit final closeout for approval after confirming paperwork documenting work performed meets contract specifications.
  • Maintain a list of general contractor chargebacks.
  • Maintain owner-supplied items in the warehouse including inventory control ordering materials and researching new or replacement products.
  • Oversee project changes including repair requests and manage final project closeout processes.

Project Administration:

  • In collaboration with Senior Construction Specialist develop and implement protocol to track outstanding general contractor invoices warehouse costs and permit costs.
  • Maintain logs for materials inventory change orders warehouse and store addresses CSI numbers vendor and project contacts and material procurement forecasts.
  • Maintain confidential bid spreadsheet and handle projects within required deadline.
  • Issue purchase orders for the Construction and Facilities Team and administer payment applications through approval by the Construction Manager.
  • Coordinate the ordering and shipping of materials from vendors to meet project deadlines.
  • Schedule setup of utilities for new and relocated stores.

Data Analytics:

  • Establish reporting metrics and utilize historical data to measure the performance of the Operations Team and communicate results to leadership.
  • Coordinate general contractor scorecard review process and assist with vendor goal setting and accountability.
  • Track and assess construction material procurement while participating in negotiation discussions with leadership.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Maintain closeout documentation and distribute general contractor closeout information to the Leasing Team for construction allowance filing.
  • Update and distribute the project contact list.
  • Create and send Requests for Proposal for new projects in collaboration with leadership and participate in award process as needed.
  • Collaborate and problem-solve with other Buckle Teams on various issues.
  • Coordinate proposals price negotiations manufacturing schedules and install schedules with vendors.

General:

  • Fulfill mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive team spirit.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • Associates degree from two-year college or university or equivalent experience.
  • One to two years related experience and/or training.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey data-driven findings to diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of construction industry standards safety regulations and sustainability practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented proactive and collaborative with a passion for driving efficiency and accountability through data.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Ability to operate a motor vehicle and complete errands based on business needs.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job the Teammate regularly works in an office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
