Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in education or related field preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in a K-12 education system is strongly preferred
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the District may find appropriate and acceptable

Job Goal(s):
Performs the full range of professional duties required to support theDepartment of Teaching and Learning including the performance of complex and/or sensitive activities; may manage large-scale long-term projects; and performs related duties as required or assigned.
Position Responsibilities:
- May represent the Department of Teaching and Learning in meetings planning sessions or formal presentations
- May act as the lead in team project or program activities
- Oversees specific job responsibilities listed below
- Provides expertise within specific functions and responsibilities of the department
- Serves as a resource for school-based administration and staff
- Supervision and evaluation may be required
Job Specific Responsibilities
- Facilitate the Center for Innovation Leadership Team
- Collaborate with all Teaching and Learning departments and staff
- Develop and implement student programming at the Center for Innovation including but not limited to:
- Immersive student experiences
- Partnership activities and courses with Kirkwood Community College
- Collaborative projects with Junior Achievement
- Improve student achievement through:
- Development of Post Secondary Readiness activities and experiences
- Increasing opportunities for students to earn College Credit
- Work Based Learning (WBL) and Industry Recognized Credentialing (IRC) as part of the Iowa School Performance Profile (ISPP)
- Collaborate with community partners to increase student internships opportunities
- Oversee Perkins funding and programming
- Collaborate with ICCSD grant writer to secure potential funding sources for district initiatives
- Develop a digital briefcase of student credentials and achievements
- Other Duties as Assigned
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
260 contract days
Salary and calendar year to be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy of the Iowa City Community School District.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Districts policy on Evaluation State Statute and any applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
